Busy wedding weekend!!

Also, added Hair Bling in her hair!!

So, this weekend I had 3 weddings total and 1 trial run. Friday was a full day in Kissimmee. Then Saturday I was off to Clearwater and Treasure Island! Had a blast and, just thought I would share a few photos. I added a few Hair Bling strands into the brides hair, that has it all done up. So hard to see with pictures from my phone. I think its about time I invest in a nice camera.. ugh!!.. but I would so much rather buy make-up and hair things ;) The trial run went fantastic as well. No pictures to share, but will definately take some the day of her wedding! She is a cruise bride getting married on September 10th!! We are adding extensions in and using my favorite airbrush make-up with lashes!!

July 16th Jamies Wedding at the Hyatt Regency in Fort Lauderdale!!

Today went AMAZING, and I had sooo much fun!! Minus the waking up at 6 am. lol! I arrived in the bridal suite early and got everything set up before 7am, when all the girls arrived. ( I stayed at the hotel so I didn't have far to go ). I did everyones hair down with big sexy curls and swept to the side with a sparkly hair pin. Jamie ( the bride ). Had her hair styled about the same, just with more curls and little more body. She wore a gorgeous tiara and veil with two little diamond pins, on the side pinned part. Each girl also did airbrush make-up with lashes. The bridesmaids wore gold dresses, so we did a sunkissed dewy look with brownish gold shadow, some with a smokey look, and some more natural. They all looked so pretty! Jamie looked absolutely stunning with a dewy sunkissed look, a little bronzer, smokey eye with brown and shimmer gold shadows, and of course lashes!! The photos taken were with my phone. So I will update, when I receive professional ones from the bride!!

July 14th

So the most common question I receive from brides would be: Why are the prices for hair and make-up so much?

I thought I would address this on my blog, and maybe everyone can have a better understanding.

My belief is: You get what you pay for! If a bride wants their hair done for $50.00. Its going to look like a $50.00 hair style. You want your make-up for $30.00. You will probably end up with someone using drug store brands, and not knowing what they are doing. ( Good luck with that make-up lasting all day ) A stylist/ make-up artist, that is confident with what they do. Will charge accordingly and use only the best products.

Here is a way to look at it. Would you go to college for 6 years and really know your degree, get out in the work field and work for minimum wage? NO WAY!! Of course you would be thinking, after all the school and with how much I know, I deserve to get paid more. Well, same with a hair and make-up artist. We believe we are worth what we charge. ;)

Well, I hope this answers that question. ;) Lots of weddings this weekend, so keep checking back to see pictures, and hear my thoughts about them!! On my way to Fort Lauderdale tomorrow for Jamie's wedding early Saturday morning!! ;)
